Model 3448 High Temperature
Axial Extensometers (1200 °C)

Designed for use with furnace and induction heating systems, these extensometers use Epsilon's exclusive self-supporting design. The combination of radiant heat shields and convection cooling fins allow this model to be used at specimen temperatures up to 1200 °C (2200°F).

Model 3549 High Temperature
Hot Mountable Furnace Extensometers
(1200°C or 1600°C)
Designed to reduce the influence of external vibrations on the extensometer's operation, this hot-mountable model is made to meet the demanding requirements of strain controlled, elevated temperature axial testing.

Model 3648 High Temperature
Capacitive Axial Extensometers
(1200 °C or 1600 °C)
High temperature extensometers for use in split type materials testing furnaces or with induction heating; these units feature very low specimen contact force and are available in low strain ranges. Water cooled and mounted to a slide bracket, they are for use to 1200 °C (2200 °F). The high temperature option allows use to 1600 °C (2900 °F). The gauge length for this unit can be set prior to mounting on the specimen, which allows mounting on specimens after they are heated to the test temperature.

Model 7642 High Temperature
Un-cooled Axial Extensometers (600 °C)
For use in environmental chambers where the entire extensometer must be exposed to elevated temperatures. These capacitive extensometers may be used up to 600 °C (1100 °F) without any cooling.
